Firstly, this con was the return of tasty con treats! Super special thanks to Griff, GarageWolf and Carlton for giving me the sweet hook up! ^^ Because the simple fact is that we don’t really get a chance to go out from behind the table very often so being able to get some snackage is always appreciated =)

Second, Arty and his friend actually joined us at the Irish place when they went to check if our Irish restaurant also had waitresses in low cut tops (apparently the entire row of restaurants featured ‘Ethic themed skimpy waitress outfits’ –from Mexican to Greek to German Oktoberfest ladies)–sadly he was disappointed in that regard. But, later I guess there was some sort of mix up with one of the guys’ drinks that resulted in free beer! So it went from “Margarita place is so much better” to “This place is the best!”

There were so many cute things at Acen this year! So many booths of fluffy, wonderful animals! But Anti-Animal Brion says we have too many plushies and wouldn’t let me get any more…but Affe wore a fluffy sweater so hugging him was sort of close enough. I guess.

In any event, I will probably be passing out now as my brain is mashed potatoes. But I appreciate all the support from everyone who came out! Thanks guys! ^^

I should also say that my intention with summoners is to make it so they’re a very powerful class with a really high skillcap. I think the idea of being plugged into a game directly allows you to design some cool ideas–like, instead of how much your processor can handle, how much can you, mentally, handle? So I imagine summoning something to be a very complex bit of puppetry, whereby the user has to directly think about what the avatar is doing while making sure that they themselves stay out of harm’s way.

In this way,I imagine that summoners could easily solo mobs, but might find a bit of trouble in a group scenario where they would have to spend a few minutes uninterrupted and unharmed to get themselves fully set up. High skillcap, but high reward. But still probably way too overpowered for a real game…but hopefully fun to read/experience in a comic setting =)

Book 4 is progressing, I’m currently in the middle of getting everyone’s avatar all done for the backer pages. I’m hoping I can maybe possibly get the whole thing done by the end of the month ^^

So my baby brother is finally graduating college from the University of Kansas this weekend, so we’re all driving down there to see it and celebrate. So I’ll probably be coming back Monday night, and as a result, in the interest of not wanting to miss Monday’s page, I’m going to hang onto this extra page I’ve been working on for tomorrow for Friday so I can keep everything uninterrupted. Which means the special extra update will just be next week when I get back ^^
